Birmingham, the 2022 Regions Tradition is almost here! Starting May 11th, 78 of the top PGA TOUR Champions players and World Golf Hall of Fame Members will take to the green at Greystone Golf & Country Club to compete for a major championship—and you’re invited to the party!

About the 2022 Regions Tradition

The Regions Tradition is an annual golf tournament on the PGA TOUR Champions, hosted in Birmingham since 1992. Each year, top PGA TOUR Champions players and World Golf Hall of Fame Members—including Bernhard Langer, Ernie Els, Jim Furyk and more—flock to the green to compete for a major prize.

On Wednesday, May 11th, dozens of celebrities, coaches and former athletes will kick off the festivities at the NCR Pro-Am, the Regions Tradition’s celebrity golf tournament. This year, University of Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban and NBA Legend Charles Barkley will return to the green—and that’s not all. In addition to these stars, the 2022 NCR Pro-Am will feature:

The Regions Tradition is about more than just golf. Since its inception in 1992, the tournament has raised more than $20M for local charities here in Birmingham. The primary beneficiary of the Regions Tradition is Birmingham’s own Children’s of Alabama, a pediatric medical center that provides some of the best specialized medical care for ill and injured children in the world.

  • Birdies for Charity, a fundraising program that helps 501c3 charities and schools raise funds through flat donations and per-birdie pledges during the Regions Tradition competitive rounds, May 11-15. 
  • The Mike Slive Foundation, which will offer free PSA blood test screening on-site from 10AM to 4PM on Saturday, May 14th to help attendees test for prostate cancer.
