Demetri’s BBQ, a Homewood favorite, is making national news. On Friday, April 22, they’ll be featured on Fox News Channel’s (FNC) FOX & Friends during the show’s signature Breakfast with Friends segment. Find out what’s cooking.

What is FOX & Friends?

It’s FNC’s flagship morning program featuring co-hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earnhardt and Brian Kilmeade. Every weekday morning from 6-9AM/ET, the show highlights the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment.

FOX & Friends enterprise reporter Lawrence Jones will be on location at Demetri’s to find out what’s cooking. And what will be cooking during the breakfast segment? I reached out to Sam and Rita at Demetri’s to learn more.

“The French toast, definitely! We also have some omelets and other items we think are unique.

We’re really excited about it! We love the recognition and are very glad they chose us.”

There’s more on Demetri’s menu, of course. For breakfast, you’ll find everything from egg plates and grits to French toast and hotcakes. If you didn’t know, the restaurant is known for its Lโค๏ธVE Biscuits. These tasty, melt in your mouth biscuits can be ordered plain or turned into a build-your-own sandwich with items like bacon, sausage and fried chicken.

Demetri’s also serves lunch and dinner featuring all your favorite barbecue dishes. Think pulled pork sandwiches, mac and cheese and more. View the full menu.

The crew at Demetri’s is asking locals to visit the restaurant during the filming. More on that here. Trust me, after tuning in or being there LIVE during the broadcast, you’ll be ready to eat!

Also a must-watch

The FOX & Friends Weekendย team will also be live at the Talladega Super Speedway on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24.

โ€œI am always grateful for the opportunity to hear directly from Americans on the ground and get their thoughts on the state of our country and the stories leading the news cycle. It is a bonus that weโ€™ll be so close to the iconic Talladega 500 and get to enjoy some barbecue.โ€
