NEW: Regions Center lights up to celebrate annual Regions Tradition Golf Tournament
Reading time: 2 minutes
One of our favorite traditions in Birmingham is when Regions Center lights up for the holidays. Now they’re celebrating the return of their annual Regions Tradition golf tournament with a new display—now-May 15. Read on for more details.
The lights are back
What makes this year’s display so cool? It sports a new design—a golfer! To celebrate the upcoming golf tournament, the iconic image will shine on all four sides of Regions Center along 5th Avenue North at 20th Street North.
See it every night from 8PM-Midnight and again from 5-6AM.
“The Regions Tradition is a world-class event that not only draws people from all over the country—and beyond—to Birmingham, it’s also a vital avenue for supporting charitable work throughout the state. We are proud to once again illuminate the Regions Center with the iconic golfer who symbolizes the return of one of Alabama’s most anticipated annual events.”
Leroy Abrahams, Head of Community Affairs, Regions Bank
Fun fact: the images of the golfer are created manually through a series of colorful gel sleeves that are placed around the white lights atop the windows of Regions Center.
