One in 44—that’s how many children are identified as having autism spectrum disorder (ASD) according to the CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network. This is up from a previous statistic of 1 in 54.
That’s where Mitchell’s Place comes in. Follow along as we help you get ready to hit the red carpet to support this nonprofit organization through the 16th annual A Night at the Oscars event on March 19.
Helping over 2,000 families in Alabama
Mitchell’s Place helps children with ASD unlock their potential while also providing essential services like speech therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy and offering an early learning preschool. Through caring therapists, teachers and service providers, Mitchell’s Place not only improves the lives of kids, but empowers their families through training and resources.
The families of Mitchell’s Place can attest to the growth their children have experienced through this exceptional nonprofit.
“Mitchell’s Place has been such an amazing and positive experience for our family. The development we have seen in our son since we joined this family a year ago has been tremendous. We look forward to our continued journey and will never be able to completely express our appreciation, gratitude and love for Mitchell’s place and our son’s wonderful teachers and therapists. It has truly been a godsend.”
