NOW OPEN: An inside look at Pinson’s new coffee shop, Barking Bee Coffee

That’s right coffee lovers, it’s time for you to experience a more flavorful range of coffee. Local, small-batch roaster Barking Bee Coffee has officially opened a brand-new coffee shop in Pinson. Read on to find out more about where you can get your flavorful cup of joe.

Barking Bee Coffee is bringing you flavorful coffee that coffee lovers haven’t experienced yet. With small-batch roasting, it gives you properly roasted coffee that brings out the flavor from the coffee bean. Barking Bee Coffee brings chocolate, floral, fruity and nutty flavors + much more that is waiting to be discovered.

“My maiden name is Barksdale, and I wanted to incorporate part of my name to honor my parents. I also have to crazy Rottweilers that act like they are on a caffeine buzz all the time. The alliteration with barking and bee just happened, so we put bee antennas on a crazy looking Rottweiler and Barking Bee Coffee was born.”

The wait is finally over! Barking Bee Coffee opened its doors to the public Wednesday, February 9, so we’re giving you the inside scoop.

My experience at Barking Bee Coffee ☕️

We told you that Barking Bee Coffee brings the flavor and they did. They offer a special name coffee called The Buzz. The Hot Buzz is a black cup of joe, where you can add in milk and/or sugar. The Iced Buzz is an Ethiopian Dark Roast that’s mixed with condensed milk so it’s creamy with just a bit of sweetness.

Right now they offer different flavors such as:

• Caramel
• English toffee
• Honey Vanilla
• Mocha
• Vanilla
• White Chocolate

For hot coffee, they have all your favorites such as americanos, cappuccinos, french press, lattes and pour-overs. The cold coffees include cold brews, iced coffees, iced lattes and blended options. Blended options include caramel, mocha and vanilla.

When I went, I wanted to try something I have never tried before. Barking Bee Coffee’s barista Matilda fixed me a honey vanilla latte with oat milk.

I kid you not, that was one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. This latte was sweet, but not too sweet and super flavorful. I will definitely go again.

A quick bite 🍪

The Little Nibbles consists of non-coffee drinks and different pastries. These drinks include hot chocolate, juice and milk. For your food options, you have the bagel (served with butter or cream cheese), blueberry scone, the cake of the week, cinnamon roll and cookie.

“I love coffee and vividly remember the first time I tried fresh-roasted coffee while living in Kyrgyzstan as part of my husband’s military service. I want others to experience the same discovery. People love to drink coffee but they don’t always love the coffee they’re drinking. I want to share with people how good coffee can be. They don’t have to know the fancy “buzz” words, that’s my job. All people have to do is enjoy, and I hope I can be part of what makes the Pinson community so great.”
