This December, Vulcan Park & Museum transforms into a winter wonderland during its 4th annual Vulcan’s Magical Nights presented by Alabama Power. 1. It features an awe-inspiring light show

Love the fun and beauty of holiday lights? Vulcan Park & Museum will make you love them even more. For 15 glorious minutes at the top of each hour during Vulcan’s Magical Nights, Vulcan will be lit up in a lively array of dancing lights choreographed to holiday music. So be sure to look UP—this is a show you don’t want to miss!

2. The eats + drinks are worth it

A chilly night atop Red Mountain means warm eats and drinks are a must. Happily, both will be on-site during the event.

Choose from a handful of local food trucks like A Train and Sweet Spun Cotton Candy, and be sure to swing by the hot chocolate station for the perfect winter drink. Beer and wine will also be for purchase, provided by B&B Bartending Service.

3. Your photo game will be fire

Every Birminghamian knows that Vulcan Park & Museum is the ultimate place for a photo op. But Vulcan’s Magical Nights is ready to up your photo game even more. How, you ask? Three words—The Pixel Room.

Yep, The Pixel Room—Birmingham’s first selfie museum—will have awesome scenes set up during the event. Created by Swanky D, they are guaranteed to make your photos pop this holiday season.

During Vulcan’s Magical Nights, the shop will have extended shopping hours so you can stock up on cool Birmingham-inspired collectibles. Check out their online shop, too.

The holiday season is all about surprising those you care about. And, while Vulcan’s Magical Nights will have a few surprise performers and appearances they won’t reveal until opening night, there are a few we can let you in on. Here’s who you can expect to see during the event:
