Many businesses are making The Magic City their home. Similarly, Smith & Co. is the newest one to announce a new facility in the city. They will invest $2.56 million to build a 7,500-square-foot facility on Fourth Avenue South, near the Birmingham Lakeview District.

Are you an engineer in Birmingham? According to the Birmingham Business Alliance, this business will also need employees to work at the new facility. The company plans to hire 54 new employees over the next three years, with an average salary of more than $68,000.

“There is no comparison—the restaurants, events, proximity to other cities and the airport, cost of living.

Being in Birmingham will make it easier to attract talent, especially high-level engineers.”
