Tie up your kids’ running shoes, and get them ready to run 26.2 miles. Don’t worry, they don’t have to run the full marathon at one time! Train for the one-mile run now to build endurance and to be speedy on race day.

  • Who: Any child in K-5th grade
  • How: Run 25.2 miles in 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or 1-mile increments with a parent or in PE class by the end of January 2022

“Some have Mercedes Monday, and Monday’s their day to run during PE to log in their miles.

A lot of schools will have a running date during PE each week to log those miles at school. Others will log with the parents at home or wherever.”

– Valerie Cuddy, Marathon Chair, Kids Mercedes Marathon
