Did you know our city is home to an incredible food truck scene? We’re bringing the best dishes on wheels in our guide to all the food trucks in Birmingham.
1. Little London Kitchen
Little London Kitchen serves British comfort cuisine—think fish and chips, meat pies and amazing sandwiches—all from a red double decker bus!
2. The Heavenly Donut Co.
What works as dessert and breakfast? Donuts, of course! With Vincent van Dough, the Heavenly Donut Co food truck, you can live the best of both worlds and order enough donuts to last all day! Try out their donut of the month (currently apple pie) or order a classic option like chocolate with sprinkles.
3. Eugene’s Hot Chicken
Don’t miss out on amazing hot chicken — try out Eugene’s Hot Chicken food truck! Their menu includes all of the chicken you could want, including wings, chicken sandwiches and the classic chicken and waffles. You can find this food truck by following the hashtag #whereseugene.
4. Cantina on Wheels
Find Cantina on Wheels, order the chicken taco and thank me later! Everything on this food truck’s menu is delicious, plus with the size of their tacos, you can get a wide variety. I can’t wait to introduce this truck to my friends — with meat and veggie options, everyone will find something they love.
5. Wasabi Juan To Go
Wasabi Juan’s is the home of the south’s sushi burritos, and their food truck takes these burritos to go! Their menu includes a variety of foods that will satisfy any craving, from their famous sushi burritos to poké. Plus, you can order their frushi dessert for a sweet treat in your favorite form!
6. Dreamcakes Cupcake Truck
Sweet tooth gotcha craving some goodies? How does a frosted treat sound? Dreamcakes Cupcake Truck serves up an award-winning selection of famous flavors, from caramel sea salt mocha and chocolate cheesecake to peaches n’ cream, birthday cake and more! Also served at the truck – custom cakes, oatmeal cream pies and French macaroons.

7. Devil Dawgs
Don’t save your favorite fair food just for a special occasion! Devil Dawgs serves up some of the best options from hot dogs and chili dogs to nachos. It might be hard to choose which dessert you want — funnel cake or fried oreos? Go with friends or family, and split them all!
8. City Bowls
If you’re constantly craving something sweet but you want a healthier option, you probably know all about acai bowls. Birmingham has no shortage of places to grab this superfood, and of course, a food truck is on the list! With a storefront and a truck, City Bowls offers delicious acai bowls and smoothies.
9. Fetch
When you’re checking out these food trucks, don’t forget a treat for your best friend — your pet! Fetch is a treat truck for dogs that shares delicious, healthy treats for your dog. They have options like dog biscuits, cakes, and even ice cream safe for dogs!
10. Cheezin’ Gourmet Grilled Cheese
You might recognize Cheezin’ from one of Bham Now’s newest posts all about grilled cheese. No more sandwiches with American cheese and white bread—this food truck offers every grilled cheese you can imagine. Their menu is full of great sandwiches, too, like steak melts and pizza melts. I’m definitely adding the pesto chicken melt to my must-try list!
11. Fryer Truck
If you like it, fry it. Fryer Truck has some of your favorite meals, and it puts them in an egg roll and fries them! Their current menu includes a buffalo chicken egg roll (yum), cheeseburger egg roll, philly cheesesteak egg roll and even a cheesecake egg roll. Sign me up! Plus, their fries with special sauce are a must-have. Trust me on this one.
12. K & J’s Elegant Pastries
You’ve probably seen the decadent milkshakes and cupcakes from this food truck online before! This cake shop serves amazing treats that will be almost too beautiful to eat… Almost.
13. Aww Shucks
Owner Phillip Powell began providing the Greater Birmingham Area with his gourmet fire-roasted corn alongside his better half in March 2020. They wanted to give citizens who live a vegan lifestyle an option at festivals, concert events and more. However, anyone can enjoy the roasted goodness of their corn, whether vegan, vegetarian or meat-eater.
14. Nawlins Style Po’ Boys
Love Cajun cooking? Get a taste of New Orleans at Nawlins Style Po’ Boys food truck. Nawlins travels all around Birmingham serving the city with their authentic sauces, seasonings and po’boys. Po’boy styles include:
- Bourbon Street shrimp
- Canal catfish
- French Quarter hot sausage
- Nawlins cheesesteak
- And more
15. Dirty Red
Dirty Red, named after owner Nelesha Dale’s nickname, is spicing up Birmingham. Dale opened her food truck in 2017 and has been sharing her savory dishes with the city ever since. Dirty Red offers:
- Chicken
- Quesadillas
- Shrimp
- And more
But according to Dale, you gotta try the corn and burgers. Her secret is using her own seasonings!
16. Fat Charles BBQ
We’re big fans of Fat Charles BBQ and they continue to wow the city with barbecue-style tacos more and more. Co-owners and brothers, Charles and Christopher Pilot, have been serving the city with their family’s secret recipes since May 2018.
They are known for having mouth-watering tacos, but they also offer:
- Burgers
- Chicken wings
- Fried shrimp
- Quesadillas
If you want a bite of those bangin’ birria tacos, I suggest you get there early—they sell out quick.
17. Cousins Maine Lobster
Lobster rolls, lobster tacos, whoopie pies, oh my. Cousins Maine Lobster is officially here in Birmingham and rolling around the city with stops like Avondale Brewing Company. Follow their social media for updates on their daily stops.
18. Golden Boy Pizza
It’s not delivery or carryout, it’s a food truck. Golden Boy Pizza is bringing a food truck to Birmingham by June of 2021, so the countdown’s on for crisp crusts and mouthwatering toppings.
19. Eat at Panoptic
Eat at Panoptic opened their first brick and mortar in Irondale on May 1, but it all began in a food truck serving up tasty sandwiches and sides. Executive Chef Raquel Ervin’s menu features her signature six-cheese spinach dip and sliders.

20. Beignets and Lattes Food Truck
If you need a caffeine and sweet treat fix, check out Beignets and Lattes when it rolls to a stop near you. They serve lattes, Nitro coffee, freshly-made beignets and everything else you need for a perfectly sweet day.
21. Hyderabad Dum Zone
Hyderabad Dum Zone is an Indian food truck and one of my favorites with delish options like chicken tikka masala, samosas and waffle curry fries.

22. Hotbox
Good People beer and eats from Hot Box make the perfect combination. Now that Hotbox has parked outside of Good People, it’s even easier to enjoy them both. Hot Box has even paired beer suggestions with their menu items so you can eat and drink like a champ.

23. RendezVous
Looking for vegan options? You won’t want to miss RendezVous’s plant-powered menu with options like loaded curly fries, corndogs and chicken + waffles.
24. MELT
Get the ooey, gooey, cheesy goodness that will truly satisfy your belly at the MELT food truck. Sweetly known as “Matilda”, the MELT food truck features melted cheese sandwiches, fries and local beers at Bham hotspots like Avondale.
25. Saw’s Street Kitchen
Saw’s Soul Kitchen hits Birmingham with its food truck, Saw’s Street Kitchen. Southern soul food is delivered at this much-loved food truck that features Saw’s signature barbecue sandwiches alongside burgers, inventive specials, banana pudding and more.
