Stroll around downtown Starkville, and you’ll smell the scent of fresh roasted coffee drawing you to 929 Coffee Bar’s door. While their brews are a must-try, their breakfast menu is to die for. If you love a hearty meal with all the options, they’ve got you covered with their morning breakfast plate.

Grab one of their daily baked goods to finish off the meal, like their Blueberry lemon glazed cinnamon rolls or chocolate espresso tart.

Must Try Dish: Morning Plate—2 eggs your way, choice of bacon, sausage or chorizo, grits or hashbrowns, toast and a medium coffee

3. Humble Taco—Lunch

Bite into a taco like no other at Humble Taco, with delicious fillings including gulf shrimp, buttermilk fried chicken and hickory smoked pork. Don’t even get us started on the sides, like their Smoked Mac and Cheese, Street Corn Salad, and Steak Fries with queso—is your mouth watering yet?

If you really want to mix it up, try switching out your normal flour tortilla for their sweet potato tortilla.

You might have to unhinge your jaw for these colossal burgers, but it’ll be worth it. When you find a place that serves a burger stacked with pork belly, gouda and an onion ring, you know you’ve got to try it.

5. TASTE—Dinner

TASTE is one of Starkville’s newest restaurants serving elevated fare in a laid back atmosphere. This menu is unique with fancier fare like steak with duck fat roasted potatoes and casual items like their delicious flatbreads or loaded fries.

Must Try Dish: The Scampi Flatbread—roasted shrimp, garlic, Romano cheese and basil pesto

6. Harveys—Dinner

Harveys is the place to be if you’re craving an incredible dining experience with the freshest steak and seafood. Start off with an appetizer of their Broccoli Bites, a fan favorite, and continue the night with either a prime-cut steak or selection from the sea. Finish off with the bread pudding, complete with apples, pecans and bourbon sauce.
