Birmingham-based Streamline Development Partners LLC recently purchased a part of the Wildwood Centre. They have plans to add a new building to the shopping center and house multiple tenants, including a nationwide favorite. Another Chipotle is coming to town, and this time it’s in Homewood.

What’s next for Wildwood Centre?

Before we get into the delicious details, let’s get you caught up on what’s happening at Wildwood Centre. For a while, the shopping center had seen some trouble and was in need of a refresh.

In 2019, a Houston real estate investor bought the shopping center for $17.8 million. Since then, Wildwood Centre has seen growth in restaurants and retailers.

According to Birmingham Business Journal, Streamline Development Partners bought a portion of the shopping center for $1.1 million earlier this month. They are planning to add a new building with one of its tenants being Chipotle.

“It’s great to see people developing in Homewood and bringing more retail and resturants to the area. This is good news for the Wildwood Centre, our ward and our city.”

Carlos Alemán, Councilor Ward 2, City of Homewood
