Jessica Broom and Matthew Niblett both raved about their meals from Bamboo on 2nd.

“Bamboo on 2nd was the perfect date night with plenty of food because girls gotta eat ya know. The PBR is TOO DIE FOR! The crispy brussels had me swooning. Followed up with some tasty sushi and a ramen bowl bigger than my face… I was in heaven.”

2. Custom bowl with lemon-herb chicken from BLUEROOT Co.

“You really can’t go wrong with anything at BLUEROOT, whether you choose one of their menu items or build your own bowl. My insider tip is to NEVER skip the lemon-herb chicken. It’s super tender, flavorful + takes any bowl or salad to the next level. Grab a Harvest Roots kombucha at check out for the perfect lunch break.”

Wasabi Juan’s is an office go-to, and I finally joined the bandwagon this month. I order the L.H.M. (Lord Have Mercy) without shrimp, and the combo of spicy tuna, cream cheese, avocado and spicy mayo is delicious. Drench it in soy sauce and you have some of the best food in Birmingham for me.”

“The pepperoni pizza from Pinchgut Pies in Trussville will change your view on what pizza should actually taste like. It’s not doughy and undercooked like chain restaurants. It’s REAL pizza… wide slices you can fold in half with crust that’s cooked to crispy perfection. 5 stars!”

6. Burger of the day from The Rougaroux

“It was my first time eating at the Rougagroux, and it all looked good. I ended up going with the Burger of the Day, which was a regular hamburger with a layer of Alligator chili and some fries. I love trying new foods!”
