The Pizitz Food Hall’s beloved poké bowl restaurant, Ono Poké, will open its third location at The Summit. Birmingham was first introduced to Ono Poké when it opened in The Pizitz Food Hall in 2017.

“From incubating and testing The Ono Poké at The Pizitz to expanding the restaurant throughout Birmingham, we are honored to be a part of Vinh’s ongoing success story and look forward to welcoming The Ono Poké and Teaspoon to The Summit’s growing lineup of retailers and restaurants.”

Owner Vinh Tran first opened his restaurant for the city to experience cuisine it never had before. The new flagship location will share a space with Teaspoon.

Teaspoon is a creative, new-age bubble tea café serving unique, handcrafted drinks. It was first established in 2015 in the California bay area and has now made its way to the Magic City.

Teaspoon’s specialized recipes include a variety of flavors such as mango, strawberry or yogurt—creating fresh flavors with traditional boba tea. Customers can also add taro chunks, egg or almond pudding with their choice of organic whole milk or oat milk.

This will be the franchise’s first location in the Southeast. Both restaurants are expected to open in early 2022.
