5 Birmingham fall treats to get you in the festive spirit
Reading time: 3 minutes
It’s the most wonderful time of the year…fall, that is. Birmingham fall treats are next level—when the season rolls around, our favorite local spots get creative with festive flavors. Read on for some of our top picks to get in the fall spirit.
1. Festive rolls for fall 🍂
Nothing better than supporting local + eating good. One of my favorite ways to do so? Rolls.
The local company is whipping up small batch, homemade rolls and you can taste the love. They’re not just doing cinnamon, either. (Though their cinnamon rolls ARE delish!) This creative bakery is serving up innovative flavors and some of our fall favorites are the Caramel Apple, Pumpkin Spice and Butter Pecan.
2. Poppin’ Birmingham fall treats 🍿
How fun is this Naughty but Nice kettle corn? They’re popping up tons of festive flavors, including Hot Cocoa and French Toast. Yum!
Order online or keep an eye on their Instagram + Facebook to see where their kettle corn truck is popping up next. Bonus? The NBN team is committed to being a philanthropic company that serves our community—learn more here.
3. Birmingham fall treats = ice cream 🍦
Because our “fall” Alabama days can still push 80 degrees, we had to make a stop at one of our favorite ice cream spots.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams just rolled out their fall flavors, and you do NOT want to miss these. Our team’s favorites? Pumpkin Cake Roll and Boston Cream Pie. For our dairy free friends, go for the Banana Cream Pudding.

4. Fall in a box @ Sons Donuts 🍩
I took one for the team and did a little first-hand research on this one. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it.
You’ll find fresh, hot mini cake donuts with various sugars and dipping sauces at Sons Donuts. To keep things festive, I went with their fall assortment, which includes: Bourbon Caramel Pecan, Granny Smith Apple Pie, Cinnamon + Cardamom Sugar with Salted Caramel and Maple Brown Butter Glaze. It’s like fall in a box.

Sheila and Monique of Double Sweetness Cakery are doing it right—just take a look at this Sweet Potato Pie Cupcake!
Everything they make looks divine, and some of their highlighted specials are Banana Pudding, Original and Raisin Pecan Cinnamon Rolls, Snickerdoodle cookies and, of course, plenty of cakes.
