1. Candlebox — October 5th
Grunge is dead very much alive, thanks to bands like Candlebox. Founded in Seattle in 1990—the epicenter of Grunge—Candlebox has released six studio albums over the years, despite breaking up between 2000 and 2006. Now, the band is hitting the road to celebrate the release of their seventh studio album, Wolves.
- What: Candlebox Wolves 2021 Tour
- When: Tuesday, October 5, 2021, 8:00 PM (Doors open at 7:00 PM)
- Where: Iron City Bham, 513 22nd St S, Birmingham, AL 35233
2. An Evening with The Monkees — October 6th
“Hey, hey, we’re The Monkees, and people say we monkey around!” Even if you weren’t around for their TV show, you’ve got to love The Monkees for their energetic, light-hearted tunes like, “I’m a Believer”, “Daydream Believer” and “Last Train to Clarksville.”
With both Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith—the two surviving Monkees—approaching their 80s, the duo have decided that this will be their final tour as a band. If you ever wanted to see The Monkees live, now is your chance!

3. Leonid & Friends — October 7th
Leonid & Friends first made it big after their rendition of Chicago’s Brand New Love Affair went viral—and they’ve been a hit ever since! The band—made up of 11 musicians from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus—is on tour in the States performing some of Chicago’s legendary songs, such as 25 or 6 to 4, Saturday In The Park and You’re The Inspiration.

4. Toad the Wet Sprocket — October 13th
Here’s a fun fact: If “Toad the Wet Sprocket” sounds confusing—that’s because it’s supposed to! The band got their name from an old Monty Python sketch, in which the narrator gives a “nonsensical news report”.
Since their formation in 1986, Toad the Wet Sprocket has been rockin’ with songs like, “All I Want” and “Walk On the Ocean”. Now, Toad the Wet Sprocket is celebrating the release of their 7th studio album by touring the States—and Iron City is one of their first stops!

5. Yung Gravy: Back in Business Tour — October 20th
Is it a conflict of interest if I’ve already purchased my tickets? Birmingham is one of Yung Gravy’s first stops on his Back in Business Tour, which was postponed by the pandemic. The American rapper is famous for blending modern rap with samples from the Soul and Oldies tunes of the 1950s and 1960s, such as “Mr. Sandman” in his song “Mr. Clean.”
