Say Hello to Authentic Italian Pizza in Birmingham
On August 9th, Eterna Pizzeria and Caffe signed a lease with Orchestra Partners to occupy the entire 6700-square-foot first floor of Printer’s Corner, a historic warehouse building that was recently renovated for mixed-use.
According to owner Mehmet Ozbey, Eterna Pizzeria and Caffe aims to bring an authentic taste of Italy to The Magic City.
“Eterna takes pride in using San Marzano tomatoes in its sauce and all natural ingredients in its recipes. We bring to your table a flavorful journey to the cultural experience of true Neapolitan pizza and cuisine, cooked in our wood-fired oven.”

Mouthwatering Pizzas & More
Eterna Pizzeria and Caffe’s menu is short and sweet. The restaurant’s nine signature pizzas will be fired at 900 degrees for less than 2 minutes in specially designed ovens from Italy. For example, two of the signature pizzas are:
- The Margherita, which features homemade tomato sauce, Buffalo Mozzarella and fresh basil.
- The Diavola, which features spicy Italian salami and Calabria peppers.
Many of the pizzeria’s ingredients—including cheese, flour, extra virgin olive oil, truffle oil, Citterio pepperoni and sopressata (Italian dried salami)—are sourced directly from Italy. In fact, the sausage is hand-made by an Italian family that lives north of Milan.
And if you’ve got room after your pizza, you don’t want to miss Eterna’s desserts! In addition to pizza, the restaurant will offer homemade gelato, cannoli and sfogliatelle, an Italian pastry.
What’s Next?
Construction on the 6,700 square-foot restaurant space is expected to kick off immediately, and the construction process is estimated to take around three months. If all goes well, we could be dining on authentic, wood-fired Italian pizzas before the end of the year!
