Football season is just around the corner, Birmingham. Whether you’re rooting for the Tide, the Tigers or anyone in-between, we’ve rounded up a couple of kick-off parties to help you celebrate football season in style!

1. The Arc of Shelby County tailgate party

Although it’s not time to break out the face paint and pompoms, just yet, you can still get into the football spirit at the Arc of Shelby County Kick-off Tailgate Party on Thursday, August 26th.

The kick-off party will be held at Oak Mountain Brewing Company from 5:30 to 7:30PM. While you’re enjoying the game, music and food, make sure to try their classic and original beers!

Hours: Mon-Wed 4-10PM, Thurs 3-11PM, Fri-Sat 12PM-midnight, Sun 12-9PM

2. The WJOX kick-off party

Celebrate the start of the college football season with Jox 94.5’s fun-filled kick-off party at Avondale Brewing Company on Friday, August 27th from 5:30 to 8PM.

Pro tip: Although the event is FREE, we reccomend you RSVP in case Avondale reaches full capacity.

WJOX’s kick-off party will have live music from vocalist Graham Harper as well as activities including:

A shooting contest (a $500 AAATix ticket credit prize)
Giveaways (state college game ticket prizes)
“Crack the Code” contest (winner can win a new GMC Sierra truck)
