Whether you’re a water sports fanatic or just want a weekend by the water, HydroFest is returning to Lake Guntersville and it is the place to be from June 26-27. Keep reading for your guide to making the most of it.

What is HydroFest?

HydroFest is an extravaganza of extreme water sports and the only one of its kind in Alabama. With boats racing at speeds up to 200MPH, it’s exhilarating to watch.

There are a couple of big races at HydroFest for spectators to enjoy, such as the H1 Unlimited, which features the fastest boats on the water that reach up to 200MPH and the Powerboat Nationals race with boats going up to 130MPH battling it out for the number one title. Other races at HydroFest that are always fun to watch include a jet ski event on a slalom-style course.

While the races are breathtaking, spectators don’t need to exert a lot of effort to enjoy HydroFest. You can relax in a lawn chair by the water, or rent a personal tent space to watch the boats go by in style. With so many exciting races to watch and lots of space to relax while you do it, HydroFest is fun for the entire family.

Personal tent spaces range from $50-$75 for pop-up tent spaces (BYOTent).
