Shipt has done it again. A hallmark of their innovative business model is their creative partnerships, and their newest collaboration is sure to be a hit with pet lovers. They’re partnering with VitusVet to provide same-day delivery of veterinary prescriptions.  Keep reading to learn more about their new service, VetShipRx.

Shipt and VitusVet’s new service is the first to provide same-day delivery of veterinary products and prescriptions directly from local veterinarians. It will allow veterinarians to simplify their pharmacy intake operations while offering newfound convenience.

Veterinarians are traditionally the most-trusted source of product recommendations for pet owners, but they’re facing pressure from online retailers.

With VetShipRx, veterinarians can compete with the convenience of online shopping. Pet owners will now be able to place an order directly through their local veterinarian and select their desired delivery time. Once the veterinary practice fills the prescription, a Shipt Shopper retrieves the order and delivers it during the timeframe the customer requested.

Shipt has a similar partnership with CVS. Shipt partners with CVS to deliver prescriptions in addition to over-the-counter medicines, grocery items, and more from CVS stores. The Birmingham-born company is always looking for new ways to deliver fresh foods, household essentials, wellness products, office and pet supplies. VetShipRx marks a new step in Shipt’s growth.
