City Bowls is one of Birmingham’s favorite food trucks, and they’re making it even easier to get your açaí fix. This summer, they’re opening their first franchised brick-and-mortar in Stadium Trace Village in Hoover. Find out what you can expect from the sweet biz.

City Bowls started as a single food truck, but it soon became so popular that they opened a brick-and-mortar location in Vestavia and added another food truck. Thanks to their success, they’re spreading the love (and deliciousness) by opening up franchising options.

“City Bowls has had such tremendous growth since I opened my first food truck. We were very blessed to have had our best year yet, even through a pandemic. With that being said, I knew it was time to start expanding and looking into the possibility of selling franchises. It has taken off faster than I thought with other possible local brick-and-mortars coming soon.”

Cory Dill, Owner, City Bowls

The Tompkins family is leading the way to the foodie destination’s first franchised location. Their City Bowls love began when their daughter started working for them.

It’s an obsession that we had as a family. For the past three years, we have gone probably three times a week every week to City Bowls because we loved them so much.”

Kaye Tompkins, Owner, City Bowls Hoover

Of course, ya gotta fund a habit like that. That’s why they’re opening City Bowls Hoover, in the former SMOOSH Cookies location. Hoover is their family’s stomping grounds, so they’re excited to be one of the new businesses calling the city home.

City Bowls Hoover will have the same menu you love

According to Kaye, if someone loves the OG spot in Vestavia, they’ll love City Bowls Hoover. You’ll be able to find the same menu of sweet treats, plus you can taste Kaye’s favorite order—the OG bowl with Nutella instead of honey.

Their menu includes:

  • Açaí bowls
  • Pitaya bowls
  • Green bowls

Want to add your unique spin? Choose the BYOB (Build Your Own Bowl) option to add all the toppings you love.
