This Saturday, Birmingham West Beautification Committee, California Country Organics Body Care and Social Plei team up for first ever spring neighborhood clean-up in Ensley. Their goal is to rebuild and refresh the community.

Volunteers will pick up trash, clean empty lots and fix vandalized buildings.

Black Warrior Riverkeeper Plans to Clean Carson Road

Black Warrior Riverkeeper (BWR) adds to the cleaning by having their ninth Birmingham Street Clean event to prevent trash in water ways. This Saturday, BWR teams up with District 1 to clean the streets in East Birmingham.

BWR Representative, Katie Fagan, calls for everyone to come join them in keeping waterways clean for the community. Fagan encourages locals to clean their neighborhoods and lends a hand to the communities.

Cleanup will be along roadsides in areas without sidewalk. Be safe. Children 10 and over can participate with an accompanied adult.

Volunteers are encoured to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes. Garabage bags, gloves and litter pickers will be provided.

Masks coverings are required. Register here by May 14, 2021 to help keep the community clean.
