A new honky-tonk bar is in the works for Parkside. We recently reported that an unnamed bar and event venue is coming to the historic American Laundry Co. building at 1630 Second Ave. S. The space near Railroad Park will feature a restaurant, cocktail bar, music venue, private dining and party rooms.

With other establishments like Good People Brewing Co. and Monday Night Social Club just a few blocks away, the honky-tonk bar will be a lively addition to Parkside’s nightlife scene. The venue is slated to open in August 2021.

A bakery isn’t the only thing coming to Mountain Brook. Local retailer, Tom Beckbe is also planning to open a storefront in the community. According to the Birmingham Business Journal, the clothier creates and sells quality sporting apparel and accessories.

You’ll soon be able to find the clothier at the corner of Culver and Canterbury in summer 2021. I’d describe their products as a fashion-forward option for the outdoorsman.
