One of Lakeview’s hot spots for Asian fare is Umami. Prefer to eat your sushi and bulgogi al fresco? Enjoy their patio with prime Lakeview people watching and cozy heaters.

2. The Lumbar

Add some heat to your love of science-themed drinks with a visit to The Lumbar. Located in Pepper Place, the bar has mastered their patio space with a socially-distanced setup and powerful heaters.

3. Back Forty Beer Company

Sipping a cold beer while standing next to a warm fire…what could be better? Back Forty is a favorite for beer and dog lovers alike.

4. El ZunZún

Here’s your Spanish lesson for the day: El ZunZún means “The Hummingbird” in English. Zip on over to their spacious outdoor patio for fire pits, large heaters and a margarita (or two).

Have you been to Little Donkey’s Homewood location yet? Hit the heated patio and get ready to dig in… you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu, but my go-to is their Picado salad with smoked chicken.

Looking for something a little bit more upscale? How about Satterfield’s, offering a spacious outdoor patio complete with adorable string lights and plenty of heaters to stay warm.

8. Vino is one of the most gorgeous heated patios in Birmingham

Vino is not playing around when it comes to staying warm and keeping the ambiance prime. They have high-powered heaters, furnaces, a fire pit and blankets available upon request.

9. Mayawell for agave spirits and cocktails

10. The Essential is one of best decorated heated patios in Birmingham

This one is a personal favorite. The cooler weather is the perfect excuse to check out The Essential’s new location and outdoor patio nestled in the beautiful breezeway at Mercantile on Morris. Plus—enjoy the outdoor heaters.

11. Vecchia Bham is family-friendly AND great for a date night

Vecchia is what we like to call a total crowd pleaser. I mean, what’s not to love? Delicious, fresh pizzas, calzones, pasta and a plethora of beer and wine available. Their patio area is my favorite, and luckily they just installed brand new heaters for all of us to enjoy.

12. Automatic Seafood’s heated patio

Seafood lovers, this one’s for you. Nothing tops Automatic’s wide range of fresh, flavorful dishes. Crustaceans not your thing? They also offer a number of non-seafood dishes, including a can’t-miss weekend brunch with rotating menu (my fave).

13. Bottega is patio perfection

Enjoy fresh focaccia, bolognese, risotto and SO much more in Bottega’s picturesque heated outdoor patio/tents. You’ll feel like you’re in the heart of Italy.

14. Chez Fonfon has a romantic heated patio

Bottega’s sister restaurant, Chez Fonfon, is also keeping things cozy. Their signature patio is ready for the colder temps, and is heated this time of year.

15. Ferus Artisan Ales’ Trussville location
