Things are heating up with Eugene’s Hot Chicken
Eugene’s has been serving Downtown Birmingham and rolling around town in their food truck for several years now. With all his success, owner Zebbie Carney figured that it’s time to take his delicious chicken to the suburbs.
Eugene’s second location opened in Hoover in late October. Now you can enjoy the finger-licking good menu at two brick-and-mortar locations in the Greater Birmingham area.
Grab a taste of home from Hometown Fare
Y’all already know that we’re a sucker for new restaurant openings. When we heard that Ross Bridge was getting a new eatery, we had to take a look. Hometown Fare is helping bring families back to the dinner table with their home-cooked meals. It’s a fast-casual spot for breakfast and lunch while afternoons are reserved for take-home dinners.
The menu features items like pot roast, grilled chicken, lasagna and more. Make sure to follow them on social to stay up to date with what they’ll be whipping up next in the kitchen.
Santa’s coming to town—well, the Galleria to be specific
On Friday, November 20, Santa’s headed to the Riverchase Galleria. Hope you’ve been good this year because the last thing you want is to be on the naughty list.
This year will be a little different due to COVID. There’ll be extra safety precautions to keep the kiddos and Santa safe. We can’t have him getting sick before the big day! Make sure to be aware of the precautions before you go.

The owners Jamie Cato and Michael Blumenthal will be teaming up with brewmaster Brian Watson—the owner of many breweries and winner of over 100 international beer awards.

A Bluff Park expansion to bring a little facelift to the area
Earlier this year, the Hoover City Council voted to move forward with a revitalization project planned for Hoover’s oldest neighborhood, Bluff Park. City officials broke ground in August and the plan is now underway.
The redevelopment includes the main shopping center and Bluff Park Village. Soon Hoover’s going to have a new and improved Piggly Wiggly as well as improvements to the retail center’s parking, sidewalks and landscaping.
