8 openings to keep on your radar, including Punch Love Coffee

The Magic City has no signs of slowing down when it comes to new openings and reopenings. In this week’s round up, there’s a wide array of businesses to keep on your radar including a popular vegan spot, coffee shops, designers and more. Check ’em out!
1. Pinkie’s Closet
Get ready to shop ’til you drop. Pinkie’s Closet Boutique is opening in Five Points South and they’re hosting a celebration. While you’re busy picking out your new outfit, enjoy some complimentary wine, hors d’ oeuveres and giveaway prizes throughout the day. If that doesn’t already sound amazing, there will also be a massage therapist and makeup artist on site.
Stop by for a night of shopping, fun and pampering on Saturday, November 14 from 5-8PM.
2. Shear Elegance
We love a two-for-one deal. Shear Elegance salon in Pelham just expanded its boutique and salon. They offer a variety of women’s clothing, gifts and accessories. That’s not all!
Owner Susan Simmons added regular and turbo tanning beds when she decided to expand. Now you can shop the latest styles, revamp your look with a new hairdo and hop on a tanning bed in one convenient spot.
3. Seafood King
The dining room of Seafood King in Homewood is now open. All your seafood boil and fried seafood cravings can be satisfied at this one restaurant. They’ll be offering their full menu that includes snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels, fried oysters and so much more.
If you’re not on that side of town, no worries. Seafood King’s location in Hoover is also open for dine-in. If you’re like me and would prefer to enjoy a seafood boil from the comfort of my own apartment, call in your order for pick-up and enjoy.

4. Makers Coffee
Watch out Birmingham. There’s a new coffee shop on the block. Makers Coffee in Morris is anticipating an opening in mid-December. It’s going to have the coziest indoor and outdoor seating that’s perfect for studying or working.
They’ll be whipping up coffee, smoothies, pastries, savory treats and more. If you’re picky about your coffee, good news for you because they’ll be serving Seeds Coffee, a local favorite.
5. Underground Vegan
The Underground Vegan food truck has been all the rage and after visiting Birmingham, the company had some great news for all you vegan food lovers. Underground Vegan will be launching a new restaurant in Five Points South at the former location of Iron City Pizza in 2021.
Before you go through a roller coaster of emotions, don’t worry because Iron City Pizza isn’t closing. They’re just moving up the street to the former location of The Preservery.
6. Punch Love Coffee
Coffee anyone? Starting tomorrow Punch Love Coffee will be having daily pop-ups from 7AM-3PM at Makebhm next to Big Spoon Creamery. This fun spot will soon be their future home of their first brick and mortar.
Besides having awesome branding and product design, you may recognize the name. They previously did pop-up coffee stands at Seasick Records.

7. The Cahaba House
The Cahaba House is coming to Trussville in a few days. Their quaint little shop is the perfect place to find gifts, home decor, charcuterie boards and more. The grand opening will be on Saturday, November 14 just in time for your holiday shopping needs.
8. Ledger’s Restaurant
Opening on November 12th, Ledger’s Restaurant is coming to Stone Bridge Farms in Cullman. The restaurant’s doors open to gorgeous lake views making for a unique atmosphere.
Ledger’s menu will feature items like fresh seafood, pasta, steak and fresh veggies. The restaurant will feature a Southern-inspired menu led by Executive Chef Clif Holt who was previously the owner of Little Savannah.
