Homewood is one of the hottest areas in the Birmingham metro for residents and businesses alike, and that’s not slowing down anytime soon. ARC Realty just opened a new office in Homewood to better serve their clients, and we went to check it out.

ARC Realty is Alabama’s largest privately-owned real estate brokerage, and they’re always growing—which means new spaces are needed fairly often. In fact, they just opened a new office in Hoover earlier this year.

Their newest addition is located right in the heart of Homewood, and it’s gorgeous. We caught up with Stacy Flippen, the Qualifying Broker for the new office. She’s been with ARC Realty for six years and is now heading up this branch while still selling real estate.

I asked why they chose Homewood for their new location:

“We have a big handful of people who have lived in Homewood for over 20 years and really know the area very well.

ARC [Realty] saw a lot of our market share moving to Homewood, so when this building came available, we jumped on it.”

Even though their office is based in Homewood, the ARC Realty agents operating out of this location sell houses all over the Birmingham metro. Whether you’re buying or selling, they’re ready to help you out.

With a population of around 25,000 residents, Homewood is a close-knit and family-oriented community that’s been around for a long time. It has great schools, retail and dining, recreation and more—which makes it ideal for all kinds of people.

“Located just four miles from downtown Birmingham, Homewood is a welcoming and quiet suburb that’s perfect for first-time homebuyers looking to put down roots near a major city center.”

The market overview in Homewood speaks for itself. Here’s a preview:

  • 25 days: average time on market
  • $449K: average list price
  • $453K: average sale price
  • 155: current listings

Check out some of those gorgeous listings right here.

What’s Hot in Homewood

Y’all know we love some Homewood food and shopping here at Bham Now. The team at ARC Realty put together a list of some of the hottest places near their new office—check it out.

  • Big Spoon Creamery
  • Cookie Fix
  • Seeds Coffee
  • Real and Rosemary
  • Hero Donuts

We can’t argue with that selection! Personally, my favorite local restaurant in Homewood would have to be Nabeel’s Cafe. If we worked that close, you’d find me eating lunch there most days.

Once you’ve sampled all those goodies, burn it off at one of the most popular boutique workout classes in Birmingham: boxing-inspired Battle Republic.

ARC Realty was founded in 2012 as “A Relationship Company,” and they’ve certainly stayed true to that. This location helps them connect with their clients—and one another—even more effectively.

“When we opened this office, our biggest goal was to have a collaborative team of people who work well together. That’s what we’re trying to build right now.”
