Jana Clark

Why did you choose to work at LAH Real Estate?

Jana: I’ve been practicing real estate for 21 years, but I moved back to Birmingham in 2015 to be closer to my parents. Throughout my careers, I’ve always felt myself drawn towards smaller hometown brokerages. They know the local market better and offer better service than big franchise operations. So, when I moved back to Birmingham I kept hearing about LAH Real Estate. Eventually, I met John Holley at the Hoover office and it was an immediate connection. I knew I had found something special.

How would you describe the company atmosphere at LAH Real Estate?

Jana: LAH has been everything I needed—and more—as a brokerage. At LAH, we connect not just as co-workers, but as friends and family. Each of our four Birmingham offices offers so much support and treat us like family.

I am so thankful for the community at LAH Real Estate. In the past, I’ve worked for brokerages outside of Birmingham that didn’t offer the same care. At those places, no one knew your name—you just came into the office and did your work. At LAH, we pick up breakfast for each other, socialize outside of work and genuinely care about each other. It’s an entirely different experience.

Year over year, I feel so appreciated as an agent at LAH. Each year, they host an elaborate Christmas party and Awards Banquet to recognize each agent’s achievements that year.

How did you find LAH Real Estate?

Ashley: I have a background in interior design and had previously worked with real estate agents on staging homes. In addition, one of my close friends was working as an agent for LAH Real Estate. So, I ended up sitting down with John Holley—his charm and encouragement drew me in. I took the real estate courses at the LAH School of Real Estate and immediately joined the team.

How has your experience at LAH Real Estate been?

Ashley: When I talk to other people at different brokerages, I can tell that I found something special at LAH Real Estate. You’ll hear people say that its a big family—they aren’t just saying that, it’s how we really feel! In fact, my husband is taking the courses now and I know he is going to join me at LAH. Once we start working together, we will be the third husband-and-wife team at the Hoover branch—so it really is a family!

What are some of your favorite memories from your time at LAH Real Estate?

Ashley: At the end of my first full year at LAH, I was honored as a rising star at the yearly awards banquet. LAH really does a fantastic job of recognizing our achievements and motivating us to go above and beyond. Additionally, my office recently won the quarterly sales contest—it was so gratifying to be a part of that accomplishment!

And of course I want to give a quick shout-out to Jana Clark! She is really such a mentor to me. Once we got to know each other, Jana took me under her wing. She is always there to help if I have any questions or just need a helping hand.
