Even though things look a little different for the class of 2020, they still deserve to be celebrated, and many schools are keeping their commencement ceremonies on the calendar. Some local schools including Thompson and Vestavia have already held their graduation ceremonies. Here’s what seven other Birmingham area schools have planned for graduation.

1. Bessemer City High School

  • Where: Bessemer City High School – Tiger Stadium
  • When: Monday, June 29 at 6PM
  • Ticketing: Each senior will receive four tickets and parents will be sectioned off to follow social distancing guidelines.

2. Helena High School

  • Where: Helena High School Football Stadium
  • When: Tuesday, June 2 at 7PM
  • Ticketing: Each senior will be issued 4 tickets for immediate family.
  • Details: Gates will open at 6PM, and a professional photographer will be there to take photos.

3. Hewitt-Trussville High School

  • Where: Hewitt-Trussville Football Stadium
  • When: June 16, 2020 at 6:30 PM
  • Ticketing: 4 tickets per family
  • Details: A livestream will be available. Stay updated via their site.

4. Homewood High School

  • Where: Homewood High School Auditorium
  • When: May 18-22
  • Ticketing: The student and their families will only be allowed in at their designated time slots.
  • Details: Participation is optional, and the virtual event will be recorded and distributed to students and their families.

5. Hoover High School

  • Where: The Hoover Metropolitan Stadium
  • When: Thursday, May 21st at 7PM
  • Ticketing: Tickets are required for entry, and each graduate is allowed 4 tickets for guests.
  • Details: Masks are required (graduates will be provided masks) and families must enter and sit together—spaced six feet apart from other families. The ceremony is optional and will be live-streamed on YouTube here.

6. Mountain Brook High School

  • When: Monday, June 1 at 7:30PM
  • Ticketing: Each graduate will be issued four guest tickets the morning of graduation.
