The Pizitz Food Hall is one of Birmingham’s best when it comes to social spots, local eats and delicious drinks. You might not be able to hang there now, but you can still show them support by ordering curbside pick up. Here are the stalls still operating + how to get all your food hall favorites safely.
You can still support local while social distancing!
Social distancing won’t stop us from supporting local restaurants and bars. There are still plenty of ways to show up for the Birmingham service industry including:
- Tipping local Birmingham service industry workers
- Ordering takeout from your favorite restaurants
- And grabbing a bite from places offering curbside pickup
Here’s what you need to know about The Pizitz Food Hall including how to support your favorite food hall stalls by ordering curbside.
Unos Tacos 🌵🌮
You’ve probably heard the buzz around Unos Tacos, a new concept set to open in The Pizitz Food Hall this month. And they’re not letting the circumstances get them down. They just launched curbside service and we are PUMPED. They’ll be serving up delicious steak, chicken and chorizo tacos, tostadas and quesadillas this weekend on:
- Friday | Lunch from 11AM-2PM + Dinner from 5-8PM
- Saturday + Sunday | Breakfast + Lunch from 9AM-1PM
The Louis Bar 🥃
The Bham Now team LOVES The Louis. We actually work above The Pizitz Food Hall at Forge and have spent many happy hours at The Louis Bar. So we are ecstatic to hear that they are currently selling drink kits and offering drink specials for curbside pickup! Starting this week, they’ll be offering:
- Half-price wine
- Discounted beer (Bonus: bring your growlers for beer from the tap!)
- Mimosa specials with fresh OJ + a bottle of champagne
- Margaritas kits including Exotico Blanco tequila + fresh margarita mix
- Jim Beam Old Fashioned kits with a bottle of Jim Beam bourbon + and old fashioned mix).
*Their weekend hours will be the same as Unos Tacos above.
Piper and Leaf Tea Co. 🍃
This family-run tea company has been selling delicious teas in Birmingham for years. They set up shop in a stall at The Pizitz Food Hall last year and have become a staple for Food Hall regulars serving up hot + iced teas. They recently began selling coffee, cold brew and espresso as well.
If you want to support Piper & Leaf, order curbside pick-up by calling (256) 698-3104. Their hours, starting 3/30, will be 12PM-6PM, and you can get deals including:
- A 16oz cold brew for $3
- 40% off Velvet Bliss loose-leaf or our beanies
- 10% off tumblers
They are also offering online ordering (which you can do here) and delivery through their site and Doordash. Browse their site for more specials, like their social distancing shirts where 25% of the profits from the shirts benefit P&L employee relief and will go towards supporting our local community.
“This pandemic has hit at the worst possible time of the year for small businesses like ours. Every purchase made, no matter how small, gives a little bit more hope of being able to continue to serve the joy after all this is over…
Daniel Hammond, Shop Manager at Piper & Leaf Tea Co.
Shoutout to the great customers who have been making multiple purchases through the weeks! Really and literally, every purchase keeps us going!”

“It has been quite daunting trying to maintain a retail food small business during this unprecedented time. We haven’t even been in our stall a full year yet.
But that’s the great thing about being in the Food Hall. There’s a sense of camaraderie, and the management wants all of us to survive this.”
Angelyn Ramsey, Co-Owner of Edolyn’s Pies
Pick up tacos, margs and more this weekend at The Pizitz Food Hall!
You won’t be allowed to enter The Pizitz, but you can walk up and place an order or call (205) 283-8374 to order ahead. When you’re ready to pick-up your food or drink kits, call that same number and they will bring it out to you!
