Within the next eight weeks, Amazon will begin the hiring process for an anticipated 1,500 jobs. That’s a lot of people! But for this 100-acre, state-of-the-art facility, they’re going to need a lot of people power.
To get the process started, Amazon is partnering with Lawson State Community College to offer four employment information sessions about job opportunities in Bessemer. The sessions are free and could lead you to a job with one of the largest companies in the world. How cool would it be to say you work for Amazon?
Salaries are expected to start at $15 an hour—well over Alabama’s minimum wage. To make things even better, according to various sources, the company will provide full benefits on day one of the job.
