Whether or not you’re going to the game, the Uptown Street Fest and Pep Rally should be on your calendar. Here’s why. You can cheer for a team, listen to some live music, enjoy tasty food and drink. Bonus, your kiddos can play all day at this family-friendly event. There’s no cost for this great big Birmingham New Year’s Day party.

After you’ve partied all afternoon on New Year’s Day, it’s time to head to the 14th Annual TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl. Kickoff is at 2PM on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at historic Legion Field. You don’t want to miss this “matchup of the year between the Atlantic Coast Conference and the American Athletic Conference.”

4–The TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl makes a big difference to the Crippled Children’s Foundation
For over a decade, the TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl has been donating money to the Monday Morning Quarterback Club. The money goes to its charitable arm, the Crippled Children’s Foundation.
This foundation “provides direct financial support to charities providing vital medical services to area children.” In fact, since 2006, the bowl has generated over $340,000 for the foundation. Amazing, right?
