Hoover’s new restaurant, Farrelly’s Southern Bar & Kitchen takes a modern spin on classic Southern fare

A husband and wife duo are bringing elevated Southern cuisine to the Hoover area. This new locally owned restaurant specializes in some of your favorite dishes. I’m warning you now! Stomach growling and mouth-watering may occur.
George and Eileen McCluney may be familiar names to you. They are the owners of Beef O’ Brady’s restaurant in Hoover and Beef’s in Helena. Farrelly’s Southern Kitchen & Bar is their latest addition to Hoover’s ever-growing food scene.
Where is Farrelly’s?
Farrelly’s Southern Bar & Kitchen is located on 5532 Grove Boulevard in Hoover. They’re open daily from 4PM-10PM making it the perfect dinner destination.
Farrelly’s provides the area with a finer dining option. Unlike other nearby chain restaurants, it offers a unique menu using fresh ingredients.
What They’re Serving Up
At first glance, the menu looks like a selection of the classic Southern dishes we all know and love. Take a look closer and they use ingredients that give each dish its own modern twist. The restaurant also offers an expansive beer and wine selection to wash it all down.
I don’t know about you but I’ve got my eye on the Farrelly’s Country Fried Steak. Sounds good right? Well, it’s made with wagyu beef―a higher-end, flavorsome Japanese beef so I’m sure it’s divine!
This new restaurant opening is sure to be a hit!
