Wine connoisseurs rejoice!

Finch Fine Wines held it’s grand opening and ribbon cutting on November 19 at the Mountain Brook Plaza ( 2737 U.S. Highway 280 South) in front of an overflowing crowd with Mountain Brook Mayor Stewart Welch in attendance.

What’s the big deal about a new wine store? Finch Fine Wines is different.

Along with offering hundreds of top-selling wines inside it’s new retail store, Finch will be selling  thousands more wines through its online ordering system, with pickup available at the store usually the next business day.

How many kinds of wine will you be able to order from this online service?

Over 3000!

Work Around State Shipping Laws

According to the Finch Fine Wines news release, wine cannot be shipped to homes in the state of Alabama.  Their online system and store pickup at the Mountain Brook Plaza solves that problem, providing access to hard to find fine wines from all over the world,  within a couple of  days, faster than it would have taken shipping it to your door.

“We are really excited to be open today in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas,” said Ed Finch, owner of Finch Fine Wines. “The shop is beautiful and user friendly.  You can also buy online which couldn’t be done it Birmingham before today. It is a new concept. We have over 3000 kinds of wines to choose from online and you can have it the next day. We are very proud of this new idea.”

How to Pickup

To pickup orders, customers must first register in the store (with a photo ID).  After that is done customers will be able to pull up to the door and have the Finch staff load their orders directly into their vehicles. No need to get out of the car or even take children out of car seats.

Visit the Store

Of course, visiting the store is highly recommended, especially since Finch has hired famed Birmingham wine-seller Wendy Watts to manage the store. Wine lovers throughout Birmingham recognize Wendy’s unmatched ability to direct customers to wines based on their own tastes. She also loves to educate  buyers and is beloved in the community.
