If you’re seeking a restaurant that’s upscale and stylish with an American menu, you’ll find it at Bricktop’s on Highway 280.
From soups and salads to seafood and steak, there are many classic dishes to choose from. But when a restaurant serves classics like these, you know meatloaf must be on the menu. And it is!
Served as an entree, Bricktop’s Prime Meatloaf is made with USDA Prime Sirloin and served with creamy whipped potatoes (or baked potato if you prefer). Price—$24.

El Barrio
El Barrio is such a fun place to grab a meal in Birmingham. It’s inspired by multi-regional Mexican cuisine, shows off an upbeat urban design and uses locally sourced ingredients.
While their menu includes many Mexican favorites like chips and salsa, tacos and quesadillas, I suggest you try something different—the Grilled Chorizo Meatloaf.
For $15, this dish features spinach, Cotija mashed potatoes and ranchera sauce.

John’s City Diner
I love when I order a meal from a restaurant and they bring out an artistic masterpiece. Based on this photo from John’s City Diner, you understand what I mean. Gorgeous, isn’t it?
Not only is the Famous Meatloaf from John’s City Diner pleasing to the eyes, but it also feels good in the tummy.
For $17, this dish features all natural Creekstone Farms beef and Beeler’s pure pork with red wine mushroom gravy and crispy onions. The best part—it’s served over a mouth0-watering scoop of mashed potatoes.

On a rare date night a few months ago, I finally got the chance to check out Metro Diner in Trussville. Well, good news, it really is as delish as people say. Plus, they love celebrating all the national food days that are so fun and tasty to take part in.
