UAB’s 50th Anniversary
In 1969, UAB became its own autonomous university. Now, UAB is celebrating all year long to commemorate 50 years of excellence.
In addition to the usual Homecoming festivities, the UAB 50 committee had the idea to host a free concert to celebrate the 50th anniversary.
“My thanks to the multiple groups responsible for planning the various events we have had happening throughout the year to celebrate. Their work embodies the UAB shared value of collaboration, and will prove to be an event to remember for years to come.”UAB President Ray Watts
