Did you know that going to the dentist could actually be fun?
Magic City Dentistry has officially made their dentist office a cool place to hang out in downtown Birmingham! Join their one year anniversary, open to the public, on Thursday, August 29th, from 4:30 – 7pm. Enjoy local art, music, food and drink.
What makes a dentist office fun?
Like most of you, I am used to boring dentist visits. A bland light blue waiting room, elevator music, you know the drill. Magic City Dentistry offers something completely different, and dare I say, fun?
When you walk into Magic City Dentistry, it feels more like a hip coffee shop than a dentist office. Current indie music plays on the radio, a vibrant light-bar shifts colors under the reception desk, and the beautiful exposed brick walls drive home the modern vibe. Art by local artists decorate the walls along with a cork-board of upcoming events in Birmingham. In the examination room, patients can choose their favorite Netflix show to watch while charging their phone. The sleek patient chairs are actually refurbished antiques from the 1950s, and far more comfortable that the modern chairs I’m used to. Combine all this with a personable staff that treats you like friends and family, and you have the perfect ingredients for a fun dental experience.
“I joke all the time that I’m trying to make a dentist office cool, which is almost impossible, but I think we’re as close as we can get!”Kristye Dixon, Practice Development Manager
One year of fun dentistry
Magic City Dentistry is having a party on Thursday August 29, and they plan to celebrate in style! Here’s the details:
- Giveaways! They will be giving away a free Zoom whitening, an art piece by Sonia Summers, and a gift certificate to Cayo Coco!
- Food and drink! Wine and Trimtab beer will be served at the birthday party, as well as Magic City Sweet Ice!
- Music by a local DJ! Feel free to dance and let loose.
- The birthday party doubles as an art opening for local artist Sonia Summers. Her art has been featured at First Avenue Rocks, St. Vincents and Brookwood Medical Centers, and more.
And the best part? The one year anniversary is FREE and open to the public!
The anniversary party will double as an art opening for Birmingham artist Sonia Summers. Though she has been making art for as long as she can remember, Sonia was overjoyed when her design was selected to be part of Vulcans on Parade. Due to their love of her work, Magic City Dentistry put Sonia’s design for Vulcans on Parade on display. Sonia’s work will be featured on Magic City Dentistry’s art wall and she will be present at the anniversary party.
“Magic City Dentistry loved my work and thought it would complement their style. I’m excited to celebrate their 1 year anniversary and show off my portfolio, and I’m so honored that they are showing off my work.”Sonia Summers, artist
Thursday August 29, come enjoy art, ice cream, and good company at Magic City Dentistry. After all, when else will you able to eat ice cream at the dentist’s office?
