Whoever said grilled cheese is a kid’s meal, has clearly never met me. I don’t know about you, but give me a grilled cheese and I’ll be satisfied.
Even though I’m a fan of the classic, there are so many places that offer unique options. So, I decided to make a list of the best places to get grilled cheese in Birmingham because, if you’re like me, you’re always up for one.
MELT

- Hours: 11AM-9PM Tues-Thurs, 11AM-9:30PM Fri-Sat, Closed Sun-Mon
- About: What started out as a food truck has become a Birmingham favorite. While their food truck is longer running, their restaurant in Avondale is the perfect place to get a grilled cheese, whether you’re a fan of classic or unique, you’ll find something delicious here. As you can see, I clearly enjoyed it.
Paramount Bar
- Where: 200 20th St N, Birmingham, AL 35203
- Hours: 11AM-12AM Tues-Thurs & Sat, 11AM-1AM Fri-Sat, Closed Mon
- About: With over 20 classic and modern games to play and a delicious menu, Paramount Bar is the place for a great date night because who doesn’t like games, drinks and grilled cheese?
Urban Standard

- About: Need a place to take an aesthetically pleasing photo and also eat an amazing grilled cheese? This is your place. Urban Standard serves up breakfast, lunch and delicious pastries everyday in a warm and welcoming environment.
Busy Corner Cheese & Provisions

- About: Eating fancy cheese always makes me feel fancy. But don’t be fooled, they have so many options from the grilled cheese to a beautiful cheese board, making it a great lunch destination.
Little London Kitchen

- About: Little London Kitchen is a new food truck on the scene taking Birmingham by storm. What makes this place so special, you may ask? It’s a double decker bus from London. I’ve certainly never been on one before, which just makes it that much more fun. It’s the perfect place to try something new with authentic menu options from the UK.
The Garage

- About: The Garage is a bar that is uniquely located inside of an architectural salvage shop courtyard. I’ve never eaten a grilled cheese in a salvage courtyard, have you? Here’s your chance.
Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint

- About: Yes, Jack Brown’s is a burger joint, but hear me out, their grilled cheese is amazing. Grab a beer and a grilled cheese and have a great night.

- About: A hometown favorite, Ashley Macs has so many fresh and delicious options. Whether you go for the classic or the “grown-up” grilled cheese, you’ll definitely be satisfied.
