Being out of school is a great opportunity to get the kids outdoors. So venture to one of Birmingham’s many great parks. A personal favorite of mine is Patriot Park in Homewood. It has some fun equipment for kids, but it also has lots of green space to run, play and picnic.

Psst! Hero Doughnuts is right across the street, so be sure to grab a special treat for you and the kiddos to enjoy during those few days of freedom.
