Reading time: 3 minutes
Get ready for food, art, dance and more at the 16th annual Hispanic Cultural Festival, happening Sat., Sept. 29 at Linn Park from 12pm-8pm.
Hosted by Fiesta, the festival is Alabama’s largest celebration of Hispanic Culture. This year, over 15,000 are expected to attend!
During the festival, you’ll have the opportunity to journey through more than 20 represented countries and experience the best of Hispanic art, music, food and dance. Sounds totally amazing, doesn’t it? You bet!
The Proceeds
The festival is for a really great cause, too. Proceeds from the event help provide scholarships to Hispanic students seeking to further their education in Alabama. Since 2003, Fiesta has awarded over $70,000 in scholarships!
The Food
A cultural festival wouldn’t be much without amazing food. At the Hispanic Cultural Festival, there will be plenty to indulge on—believe me!
There will be a variety of local, authentic food from a number of participating vendors, which means you’ll have the chance to discover some of the best Latin American food Birmingham has to offer. Yum-O!
The Music
While you feast on tasty food, there will be great music to set the mood. Check out two live music stages featuring a line up of chart-topping and local Latino artists, such as:
- Leslie Grace
- Frankie J.
- Los Luzeros de Rioverde
- La Tropa Kumbiambera
- Mariachi Premier de America
Along with food and music, you will also have access to:
- A cultural village
- A community village
- A health and wellness village
