What Is Clutch! LLC?

Clutch! LLC is a new Birmingham-based peer-to-peer game-day parking app company.

Headquartered at the Innovation Depot, the company currently has three full-time employees.

The company’s board of directors includes a name that may be familiar—Bill Battle, former University of Alabama athletic director.

According to a Form D Filing, Clutch! LLC has a funding goal of $750,000. So far, the company has raised an impressive $683,333.

A Look At The Clutch! App

So here’s the skinny on the Clutch! app.

Clutch! is a game-day parking marketplace app that will allow sports fans to rent privately held parking spaces.

Via the app, you can connect with sellers offering parking spaces close to event venues. This gives you the opportunity to reserve parking in advance. Talk about an easy way to put parking woes to rest!

“We all love college football in the South, but there are parts of the game-day experience many of us dread, like fighting traffic and finding a convenient place to park,” Hunter Strickler, CEO of Clutch!, said.

“By allowing fans to reserve space for parking and tailgating offered by students, churches and local businesses near campus, we’re giving fans a much better alternative to driving in circles looking for someone holding a cardboard sign.”

The App Launch

Good news for Alabama fans! The initial launch of the Clutch! app will be available for football games at the University of Alabama for the 2018 season. That kickoff is just a week away! (Like you haven’t already been counting down the days.)

The company has big plans for their app, though. Their goal is to expand to other campuses both regionally and nationally, as well as into other events where parking demand is high.

Currently, the company is working with local parking vendors at downtown Birmingham events. Birmingham Barons anyone? Yep, Clutch! is hoping to make parking reservations available in select spots around Regions Field. That’s a home run in my book!

What do you think of the Clutch! app? Will it make parking on game day easier for you?
