The 8th Annual Taste of Birmingham, hosted by the Birmingham Boys Choir, is Tuesday, August 21, at 6:00pm at Haven in downtown Birmingham.

Taste of Birmingham? That sounds, well, tasty.

This event is the perfect way to sample dishes from old and new restaurants throughout Birmingham, and this year’s restaurant lineup looks DELICIOUS. Bistro V, Little Savannah and Nothing Bundt Cakes each won Taster’s Choice awards last year and are returning to defend their titles. New restaurants include Eli’s Jerusalem Grill and Yo Mama’s. You’ll enjoy these Birmingham staples while sipping a beer or glass of wine courtesy of Johnson Brothers and Cahaba Brewing Co.

Dinner and a Show.

In addition to tasting some of Birmingham’s finest local cuisine, guests will enjoy live entertainment by the Birmingham Boy’s Choir. The theme of the performance is “Cities Worth Singing About.” Top it all off with a good ol’fashioned live auction, and this event seems a lot less like a fundraiser and more like a party. A Yummy Event for a Great Cause.

The best part is all proceeds of your ticket go to a wonderful organization that’s been native to Birmingham for 45 years. The Birmingham Boys Choir consists of 155 boys ages 8-18, from 50 schools in the area. They perform six times a year completely free of charge.
