Mix and match to your heart’s content for the $20 dinner deal at Pho Pho Vietnamese & Sushi Bar. To start, choose from one of six appetizers, including the octopus dumplings, or one of 10 sushi rolls.

Next is the entrée, and the menu is wide open. Choose from six varieties of pho (that’s fresh Vietnamese rice noodle soup served with bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño slices and lime) and a host of other rice and noodle dishes. The spicy pork bulgogi is calling my name.

I’m taking the $30 deal at Slice Pizza & Brewhouse to Splitsville for a fun date night. Choose one of five salads and one of 16 specialty pizzas. For dessert, you can opt for a slice of homemade cheesecake or a s’mores calzone. These are hard choices, I know, but still plenty of food for two to share.

The $40 menu deal at Perry’s gives you the choice of the pork chop, an 8-ounce bacon-wrapped filet or salmon with lemon-dill butter. Round that out with a salad and dessert trio. Holy feast, Batman!

If you really want to indulge, add a Raspberry Crusta, a specialty libation that’s sold separately.

During Birmingham Restaurant Week, $40 per person buys you a verifiable special occasion dinner at some of the Magic City’s most celebrated restaurants. When I say special occasion, I mean major anniversary, marriage proposal, just-landed-the-big-job level.
