Reese Witherspoon heads to Birmingham this September to promote her book, Whiskey in a Teacup at the Alabama Theatre

Reese Witherspoon is headed to Birmingham this fall to support her debut book, Whiskey in a Teacup: What Growing Up in the South Taught Me About life, Love and Baking Biscuits.
The tour will begin on Sept. 17 and will stop in eight cities, including New York City and Washington, D.C. as well as Southern cities Charleston, S.C; Charlotte, N.C.; Louisville, KY; Nashville, TN; Waco, TX, and our very own Birmingham, Alabama. Witherspoon’s stop in Birmingham will take place at the Alabama Theatre on September 20th at 7:30p.m. Buy your ticket!
A Peek Inside The Tour
The Whiskey in a Teacup tour will offer a peek into Witherspoon’s Southern side with personal stories and insights into things like how she entertains, decorates her home and makes holidays special for her family.
During the tour, it has been revealed that Witherspoon will be joined by special guests for some of the events. Who are they? Sorry, you’ll have to wait and see!

You have to wonder, where did Witherspoon come up with such a fiery, yet dainty title for her book?
“My grandmother Dorthea always said that it was a combination of beauty and strength that made Southern women ‘whiskey in a teacup’,” Witherspoon said in a statement. “We may be delicate and ornamental on the outside, but we’re strong and fiery on the inside.”
