Alabama Organ Center’s Donate a Life Coasterthon

Do you have what it takes to ride a roller coaster for eight hours straight? You can soon find out during the Alabama Organ Center’s Donate a Life Coasterthon.

The Alabama Organ Center and Alabama Splash Adventures have teamed up to host an eight-hour coaster marathon to raise funds and awareness for the Alabama Organ Center.

The event takes place at Alabama Splash Adventures on July 13 from 2am-10am. (Nope, that’s not a typo!)

Twenty-four individuals who raise at least $100 for this charity event will have the chance to ride Alabama Splash Adventure’s world-class roller coaster–Rampage. And yes, it’s for eight hours!

Sloss Music and Arts Festival

Hitting Birmingham July 14-15 is the Sloss Music and Arts Festival (a.k.a., Sloss Fest). If you’re a fan of music, vendors and festival fun, this is the event for you.

Sloss Fest, a two-day music and lifestyle event that takes place at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark, is one of the largest annual music festivals that happens in the ‘ham.

This year there will be 44 bands made up of incredible renowned headliners and emerging artists. Check out the lineup.

Music genres include everything from indie, pop and country to rap, soul and hip-hop.

Artists with Disabilities

Don’t let a disability stop you from doing and experiencing the things you love, like art.

Join in on the Birmingham Museum of Art‘s Artists with Disabilities Visually Impaired Program. This free adult program offers the chance to experience and learn about art by three artists who turned their disabilities into extraordinary works of art.
