Spring is exploding in Birmingham! With Easter coming up at the end of March, can you guess who will be hopping our way? The Easter Bunny, of course! And he’s bringing lots of eggs, chocolate candy and cuteness along with him.

Asbury United Methodist Church Eggstravaganza

Asbury United Methodist Church will be hosting the biggest event in its history this March – and it’s all about Easter.  Join in the fun for an entire #Eggstravaganza weekend full of Easter egg hunting, carnival games, mission initiatives, worship and more!

If food trucks are your thing, then Sunday is the day for you because five food trucks will be attending the event.

When: March 17-18, 2018

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Eggstravaganza

What better way to spend a spring day than at the zoo? This year, the Birmingham Zoo will once again be hosting two of their most beloved events:

To attend Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, here’s what you need to know:

When: March 31, 2018
Where: Birmingham Zoo. 2630 Cahaba Rd, Birmingham, AL 35223
Time: 7:30am-10am

Price: Members – $25 for adults, $20 for kids; Non-Members – $30 for adults, $25 for kids (tax included).

Following Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, you have the chance to partake in Birmingham’s largest Easter egg hunt – the Eggstravaganza!

Price: Members – free; Non-members – Price is included in admission fee

There will even be an adult egg hunt ($20 per adult).

Here’s when the hunts will go down:

  • 10am-10:30am – 0-5 years
  • 11am-11:30am – 6-12 years
  • 11:45am -Adults – $20 entry fee
  • 12:30pm-1pm – 0-5 years
  • 1:30-2pm – 6-12 years

Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Market

The Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Market is back again at Oak Mountain State Park for its 11th annual event. Check out local craftsman, artists, boutiques, bakeries, brand reps and food trucks – each selling Easter and spring-themed goodies.

There will also be free hayrides and yard games, so enjoy some friendly competition while you play on giant checker sets and tic tac toe boards.

There will also be pony rides ($5 per ride) and Cricket, the miniature Unicorn will be on site for pictures! Each picture will be $1 and will go to the Alabama Wildlife Center as a donation.

The Easter Bunny will be hopping around throughout the event to pose for free pics, so be sure to bring your camera!

Price: Regular park admission fee

Egg hunts will be hosted for children ages 0-12. Hunt times are are follows:

Homewood Parks Easter Egg Hunt

If you’re looking for an egg hunt that is a bit more unique than most, then don’t miss Homewood Parks Easter Egg Hunt.

What makes it different?

It starts at dusk. Hunts for ages 7-11 begin at dark, so be sure to bring a flashlight for some night-time egg-hunting fun!

Here’s when the hunts are happening:

  • 6:30pm – 1-2 years
  • 6:30 pm – 3-4 years
  • 7:05pm – 5-6 years
  • 7:45pm – 7-8 years
  • 7:45pm – 9-11 years

There will also be a section for children with special needs.

When: March 24, 2018

Meet the Easter Bunny

For the perfect photo hop-portunity, bring the kids to meet the Easter Bunny at the Riverchase Galleria during the month of March.

Be sure to reserve your spot to avoid waiting in line!

Gather with family and friends at The Samford Family Easter Egg Hunt 2018, presented by Samford University Alumni Association and Office of Greek Life.
