Say hello to Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza! The newest pizza chain to hit Birmingham, and it opens tomorrow – Feb. 15.

Blaze Pizza, a California-based pizza chain, first opened its doors in Irvine, CA in 2012. Since then, the chain has grown to include over 245 locations in 35 states and Canada.

Now, it’s coming to Birmingham!

The restaurant will be located at 707 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. S. in The Waites retail and residential development – also home to restaurants like Farm Burger, Taco Mama, Smoothie King, Roll Up Sushi and Which Which Superior Sandwiches. With its strategic location in Birmingham’s Southside and UAB being the Blazers, it all fits together quite perfectly.

Greg Hazard, local Blaze Pizza franchisee, agrees.

“We are very excited to be bringing the Blaze Pizza brand to Birmingham and specifically to the UAB Blazers,” said Greg. “We love their slogan of ‘Forever Blaze’, and we are committed to living up that challenge.”

Set up in a 2,800-square-foot open-kitchen restaurant, Blaze will offer seating for 68 diners inside, along with exterior patio seating.

What do they serve?

A variety of signature pizzas, fresh salads, beverages and desserts (s’more pie anyone?). Gluten-free and vegan options are also available. You can create your own pizza, too, from a variety of meats, veggies, cheeses and sauces.

There are definitely some signature pizzas worth checking out. One is the White Top, which dons white cream sauce with mozzarella, applewood bacon, chopped garlic, oregano and arugula. Another is the Veg Out with zucchini, mushrooms, red onion, mozzarella, gorgonzola and red sauce.

You can even go artsy with the Art Lover that features artichokes, mozzarella, ricotta, chopped garlic and dollops of red sauce.

Price falls around eight bucks for an 11-inch pizza.
