Seems Da’Ron’s relentless work, and practice, and his persistent pleading to the UA coaching staff paid off…big-time!

I had been talking to coach lots about it. He said, ‘Just keep on working, and you might get it.’ And I tried my best to go out and practice and work hard, and they finally gave it to me.” Da’Ron Payne.

In 2015 Rivals.com and Scout.com rated him the No. 1 player in Alabama. He was listed as the No. 1 defensive tackle and the No. 7 overall prospect in America for 2015 by 247.sports.com. Though the All-American Da’Ron grew up an Auburn fan, like his beloved grand father, he chose to play football for Alabama over Auburn, Florida State, Clemson and Georgia. And…did you know there are two talented Payne brothers, his twin is an artist.
