Big Bad Breakfast (BBB), the acclaimed from-scratch breakfast restaurant, is opening its newest location in Vestavia Hills on May 13.

Located at 1467 Montgomery Highway, Vestavia Hills, Alabama 35216, the new BBB location will be the 24th in the restaurant’s growing portfolio and the seventh in Alabama for the brand.

New Gateway in Vestavia Hills

“I love Birmingham and am absolutely delighted at how much this city loves Big Bad Breakfast right back! Opening in Vestavia Hills is really exciting for so many reasons. It’s a great community that we can’t wait to serve and be a part of, and also because it tells me that the reputation we’ve worked so hard to create and maintain in our two other stores around the city (Homewood and Greystone) has resonated with folks.”

Chef John Currence, Founder of Big Bad Breakfast

The construction and opening of BBB has been part of a major initiative in Vestavia Hills to revitalize the south end of Montgomery Highway. In 2022, the city purchased the former Days Inn property and demolished the hotel and bar.

The following year, the city approved an incentive plan to create a “new gateway” on the south end of Highway 31 and support a new development anchored by Big Bad Breakfast, Waldos Chicken & Beer and additional tenants.

The opening of BBB is the first of many expected in the newly revitalized space.

  • Skillet dishes
  • Omelets
  • “Cathead” biscuits
  • Chicken & waffles

The new Vestavia Big Bad Breakfast, which opens May 13th, will serve breakfast and lunch daily from 7:00AM to 2:30PM.
