Niyaz @ Alys Stephens Center – iTunes #1 best-sellers Niyaz are coming to Birmingham in this free IndiaFest event! Mixing poetry with state-of-the-art electronics, the pair bring traditional Iranian culture to life. Check them out live April 20th, starting @ 7pm. Read more
Honda Indy Grand Prix, presented by America’s First – It’s Indy weekend! Watch the 8th year of the Honda Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park. Watch as performance is pushed higher, with some of the most impressive drivers in the world controlling some of the most impressive machines in the world. Want an idea of the speeds involved? Record Store Day! Record store day is a chance for anyone who loves vinyl (or anyone who’s curious about it) to come out and get discounts, coffee and donuts, limited edition records, and a free turntable for one lucky record store-goer. Seasick Records will host DJ sets from The Audiovore, Jesse Phillips of St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and more! Like screen printing? Yellowhammer Creative will be selling limited edition shirts and posters. Seasick isn’t lying when they say “Record Store Day is their craziest day of the year.” Doors open April 22nd @ 8am. Yoga is awesome (trust me guys, yoga is pretty awesome). Cycling is awesome. Redemptive Cycles is awesome. They’ve been helping anyone and everyone ride a bike, no matter their financial circumstances, since 2013, and help cyclists repair their bikes.
