Adorable and Adoptable Pet of the Week: Nitro
Reading time: 2 minutes
What’s Tuesday without another precious pup to start your day? Meet Nitro your adorable AND adoptable pet of the week.
This guy is 22lbs of playfulness! He is an Australian Cattle Dog mix that will steal your heart. Nitro is only 5 years old and has mastered walking on a leash. Of course, with a temperament like his, he’d be a great addition to a family with other pups.
Unfortunately, he is heart worm positive but worry not, he is a part of the Greater Birmingham Humane Society’s Foster-to-Adopt program. This means he will be treated at no charge to his adoptive parents!
All adoptable pets from the GBHS are neutered/spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines. They also have more than just cats, dogs and puppies. They sometimes have birds, ferrets, reptiles, pigs, bunnies and other pets up for adoption. Adoption fees are as follows:
- Cats, kittens, dogs or puppies:
- Animals six months and under: $50
- Animals older than six months: $25
- Rabbits: $25
- Ferrets: $50
- Rats, Guinea Pigs & Hamsters: $10 for one or $15 for a pair
All active and retired military members and their immediate family members receive waived adoption fees with a valid ID presented at the time of adoption.
